Senior Technical Consultant SAP Development (Transportation Management)

SIKA seeks a Senior Technical Consultant for SAP Development in Transportation Management based in Zürich. The role focuses on digital transformation, custom TM developments, and stakeholder communication.

This position supports SIKA's digital transformation and strategic Transportation Management (TM) programs by enhancing and safeguarding global template solutions. The consultant will engage with stakeholders across functional, business, management, and technical levels, requiring strong communication skills and a proactive approach to discussing technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Create, deploy, and upkeep custom code for Freight Units, Freight Orders, and other transportation management business objects.
• Improve planning and execution interfaces, along with other FPM applications, through UI updates, BADIs, and enhancement points.
• Automate charge calculations by implementing BRF+ solutions.
• Configure and adjust PPF actions, including printing, output management, and event-driven processes.
• Develop custom logic for transportation network modeling, covering means of transport, locations, and routes.
• Apply general TM enhancements using BOPF, FPM, FBI, and related frameworks.
• Upgrade TM master data models and interfaces utilizing business objects and CDS views.
• Develop and enhance Fiori and UI5 applications linked to current TM custom or standard solutions.
• Configure and activate Fiori apps, technical catalogs, and oData services (both standard and custom).
• Design and build side-by-side extensions leveraging BTP services.
• Evaluate and approve functional design documents prior to development release.
• Draft technical documentation for implemented solutions.

Requirements

• Over a decade of hands-on experience in SAP TM development, covering both embedded and decentralized setups.
• Academic background in business informatics, information technology, engineering, or computer science.
• Mastery of ABAP, ABAP OO, BOPF, BRF+, report and dialog development, and form creation (Smart-forms, Adobe Forms).
• Proficiency in Fiori, UI5, CDS views, WebDynpro ABAP, EDI/IDoc, ABAP Proxy, oData, Web Services, Workflow, and Business Technology Platform.
• Fluent command of spoken and written English.

Nice to have

• Fluency in German is highly beneficial.
