ServiceNow Platform Specialist

SUMMIT RECRUITMENT AG seeks a mid-level ServiceNow Platform Specialist for an on-site role in Switzerland. The position focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining ServiceNow solutions while ensuring alignment with ITIL standards.

The company is looking for a professional to manage the ServiceNow platform, ensuring it effectively supports business operations. The role centers on the end-to-end lifecycle of ServiceNow solutions, from initial design and development through to ongoing maintenance and optimization on self-hosted environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy ServiceNow solutions, including the Service Portal, for self-hosted instances.
• Configure and tailor management, discovery, and instrumentation servers within the ServiceNow ecosystem.
• Offer technical guidance and troubleshooting support for platform-related challenges.
• Work closely with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure clear communication throughout projects.
• Develop and keep up-to-date technical documentation covering configurations, customizations, and system integrations.
• Monitor ServiceNow platform updates, industry trends, and best practices to maintain system relevance.

Requirements

• Demonstrated background as a ServiceNow Platform Engineer or in a comparable position.
• Fluency in both German and English, with strong written and verbal communication abilities in each language.
• Deep understanding of ServiceNow architecture, including its various modules and components.
• Hands-on experience configuring and customizing key applications such as the Service Catalog, Incident Management, MID servers, and the NOW Service Portal.
• Solid grasp of ITIL processes and industry best practices.
• Capacity to operate autonomously while collaborating effectively in a rapid-paced setting.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving capabilities.

Nice to have

• Holding ServiceNow certifications, such as Certified Implementation Specialist, is advantageous.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting languages, including JavaScript, GlideScript, and Jelly.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with external third-party systems.
• Ability to create and maintain reports and dashboards within the platform.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
