Google seeks a Senior Software Engineer for its Cloud AI/ML team in Zürich, focusing on automotive solutions using distributed systems and machine learning.

This position sits within the Google Cloud AI/ML division, specifically supporting automotive clients. The engineer will tackle intricate challenges in the automotive sector by leveraging large-scale distributed systems, machine learning models, and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement scalable AI solutions and machine learning systems.
• Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and fellow engineers across teams.
• Improve current infrastructure to enhance performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Help build internal tools and frameworks utilized by AI/ML engineering groups.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least three years of software development experience using languages such as C++, Java, Python, or Go.
• Three years of practical experience involving algorithms, data structures, and system design.

Nice to have

• A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• Prior work with large-scale distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
