Software engineer

THN Capital AG seeks a mid-level Software Engineer to build and maintain its algorithmic trading platform using C++ within a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.

This position focuses on the development and upkeep of the firm's algorithmic trading infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate closely with quantitative researchers and traders to deliver robust, high-performance solutions in a rapid-moving setting.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain the core algorithmic trading platform.
• Implement C++ features in close cooperation with quant and trading staff.
• Design and refine scalable, multi-layered applications and underlying infrastructure.
• Address complex technical challenges within a high-speed operational context.

Requirements

• Proficient in C++ programming on Linux systems.
• Hands-on experience with cmake, svn, git, gdb, valgrind, and unittest.
• Deep knowledge of operating systems, networking, and performance tuning.
• Excellent analytical abilities, problem-solving mindset, and dedication to quality assurance and testing.
• Proven history of solving difficult technical issues autonomously.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Capability to function effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Four or more years of C++ development experience, particularly within algorithmic trading systems.
