Software Engineer - Intralogistics & Software Integration

The company seeks a Mid-level Software Engineer to design and integrate software for intralogistics and automation systems in a hybrid role based in Switzerland.

This position supports the expansion of the European engineering group by focusing on intralogistics, automation, and software integration. The role centers on building and connecting software solutions that link hardware, control systems, and enterprise applications. Projects blend industrial automation, data processing, and system orchestration to enhance logistics and warehouse performance.

Responsibilities

• Build and integrate software components for automation, warehouse management, and intralogistics systems.
• Work alongside system engineers, control specialists, and project teams to deliver reliable end-to-end solutions.
• Support the integration of control layers (PLC, SCADA, WCS, WMS) with higher-level applications and cloud platforms.
• Implement and maintain APIs, interfaces, and middleware for data exchange between systems.
• Participate in testing, deployment, and performance tuning of integrated software solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during system deployment and operation.
• Contribute to documentation, technical specifications, and handover processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in software development or system integration (intralogistics or automation environment preferred).
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., C#, Java, Python, or similar).
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols and integration patterns (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, REST APIs).
• Fluent in English.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with warehouse management (WMS/WCS) or automation control systems.
• Additional European languages.
