Software Engineer

Condis SA is seeking a Mid-level Software Engineer to join its Engineering and Project Management department in Switzerland. The role focuses on developing secure, high-quality software solutions within an agile, international environment.

Responsibilities

• Create, build, and upkeep software applications prioritizing security, performance, and long-term maintainability.
• Convert functional and non-functional specifications into technical designs and working code.
• Collaborate with the Software Architect to define technical approaches and solutions.
• Develop scalable code that adheres to established standards and best practices.
• Author and maintain unit, integration, and regression tests to ensure reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve complex software defects and issues.
• Engage in code reviews to maintain consistency and quality throughout the codebase.
• Adhere to coding standards and completion criteria.
• Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to clarify project requirements.
• Take part in agile ceremonies including planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Provide effort estimates and assist with planning activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including the PMO.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience as a Software Engineer with a portfolio of completed projects.
• Fluency in both English and French.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages and frameworks such as C#, .NET, Java, or JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.
• Familiarity with Linux environments, containers, and cloud concepts.
• Awareness of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively in a team.
• High level of rigor and sense of responsibility.
