Software Engineer

Mainconcept AG seeks a mid-level Software Engineer in CH for a full-time, remote-or-in-office role. The position involves supporting product teams with testing tools and contributing to automated development processes, requiring Python3, C/C++, and agile experience.

This role is part of the service and integration team, providing tools to assist product teams with testing and advancing automated workflows within the software development department.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance tools used by product teams for product testing
• Contribute core components to automated software development processes
• Create small test utilities, sample applications, and integration tests

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience with Python3
• Practical experience in C/C++
• Familiarity with php, HTML, JavaScript, and SQL
• Understanding of agile development practices
• Knowledge of software development lifecycles and product testing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Available for full-time employment
• Willingness to collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Demonstrated professional initiative

Nice to have

• Multilingual abilities are an advantage
• Familiarity with pytest
• Experience collaborating with remote or international teams
• Experience using bug tracking tools, preferably Jira
• Experience with Scrum tools, preferably VersionOne
• Familiarity with GIT for source code management
• Experience with automated build systems such as GitLab
• Ability to analyze basic code structures and dependencies
• Experience with Docker and virtualization technologies
• Knowledge of cross-platform development (Windows, Linux, macOS; Intel, ARM)
