Comfone AG, a pioneer in global international roaming services, is looking for a Software Engineer to join its diverse, international team. The position focuses on developing robust backend systems for large-scale data processing within a fast-evolving technological landscape.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend architectures for handling extensive data processing tasks.
- Manage the complete application development lifecycle, from gathering user requirements and designing specifications to coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining software.
- Create high-quality, reusable, and thoroughly tested software components using object-oriented programming principles, primarily in Java.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or possess a Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence from a completed computer science apprenticeship.
- Demonstrate 2–6 years of professional experience in backend development, with a strong emphasis on Java.
- Show a solid grasp of object-oriented programming concepts, preferably applied through Java.
- Have practical experience using testing frameworks like JUnit.
- Possess strong knowledge of database systems.
- Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
- Be a Swiss or EU/EFTA citizen holding a valid B or C work permit.
Nice to have
- Experience working with MongoDB.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot, Kafka, and Flink.
- Background in Big Data or large-scale data processing environments.
- Proficiency in languages other than English.
