Solution Engineer

Partners Group seeks a Solution Engineer to design and maintain cloud-native business applications, bridging technical implementation with business needs within an Agile framework.

This position sits within the Business Applications Group, focusing on the creation and evolution of software solutions in a fully cloud-native setting. The role supports the entire Business Applications platform, which serves both Front Office areas like Investments and Sales, as well as Corporate functions. Engineers in this role manage the complete solution lifecycle, from initial design through to production operations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to shape solution designs.
• Develop, test, and maintain software components for business applications.
• Configure, extend, and integrate SaaS solutions and third-party platforms.
• Convert business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs.
• Construct and integrate APIs, services, and data pipelines.
• Implement integrations using vendor APIs, webhooks, connectors, and middleware.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Assist with deployment, release management, and production troubleshooting.
• Work closely with solution architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Support team members through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
• Help build engineering, integration, and design capabilities across the wider platform.

Requirements

• Experience in solution design.
• Proficiency in SaaS configuration.
• Skills in platform integration.
• Ability to work with APIs and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with webhooks and middleware.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience conducting code reviews and pair programming.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
