Solutions Architect, AI - Manufacturing and Life Science, Switzerland

Amazon Switzerland seeks a Senior Solutions Architect in Zürich to design AI-driven solutions for Manufacturing and Life Science clients. The role requires strong cloud architecture skills and fluent German.

This position focuses on partnering with AWS clients and industry specialists to develop robust architectures that address specific challenges within the Retail and Consumer Goods sectors. The architect will leverage hands-on expertise in application integration and business software design to deliver scalable solutions, with occasional travel required for client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Establish technical partnerships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor to guide their digital transformation.
• Collaborate with AWS Professional Services, partners, and customers to design, implement, and scale high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to the development and dissemination of best practices, technical documentation, and reference architectures.
• Promote awareness of AWS technologies and industry trends through educational sessions and various communication channels.
• Engage in detailed design workshops and deep-dive sessions to create innovative, world-class solutions on the AWS platform.

Requirements

• Minimum of eight years of professional experience in specific technology domains.
• Proven track record of leading or developing enterprise-scale software products using structured development lifecycles.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical executive stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture principles and design.
• Fluent proficiency in both speaking and writing German.

Nice to have

• Prior experience engaging with end-user or developer communities.
• Familiarity with modern software development tools and agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience implementing Generative AI and agentic AI solutions within enterprise environments.
