ProServe Cloud Architect, AWS Professional Services, RCG and Pan-Amazon Strategy and Growth

Amazon Switzerland seeks a Senior ProServe Cloud Architect in Zürich to design cloud solutions for enterprise clients in French and English, focusing on AI, modernization, and cross-unit collaboration.

The company is looking for a senior architect based in Zürich to lead the design of cloud solutions for major European enterprise customers. This position involves guiding clients through migrations, modernization efforts, and the adoption of AI technologies. The role serves as a critical link in the pre-sales process, ensuring that proposed technical strategies are both realistic and optimized for success. Additionally, the architect will leverage Amazon's broader ecosystem, connecting AWS capabilities with expertise in commerce, supply chain, and advertising to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead solution architectures that address specific business outcomes, including cloud migrations, modernization projects, and AI/ML implementations.
• Act as the primary liaison between ProServe Account Executives and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and efficient.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise throughout the pre-sales phase, creating scalable and secure architectures tailored to client needs.
• Communicate technical concepts and deliver presentations to French-speaking stakeholders and customers.
• Collaborate with various Amazon business units, such as Commerce, Supply Chain, and AdTech, to support complex, multi-unit pursuits.
• Facilitate the signing of Statements of Work (SOW) and oversee implementations to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Mentor team members, conduct training sessions, and develop reusable artifacts to share knowledge across the organization.
• Advise clients on emerging technologies, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, and intelligent commerce strategies.
• Help make production-proven solutions discoverable and deployable for ProServe teams globally.

Requirements

• At least eight years of experience in cloud architecture and solution implementation.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives across different geographies or matrixed organizations.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing Cloud or AI/ML solutions, specifically including Generative AI and Agentic AI architectures.
• Industry experience in Retail, Consumer Goods (RCG), or the Commerce vertical.
• Fluency in French, both written and spoken, is required for customer engagement.
• Fluency in English is also required.

Nice to have

• A degree in advanced technology or an AWS Professional level certification.
• Specialized knowledge in Agentic Commerce solutions, including autonomous AI agents for customer experience and intelligent retail operations.
• Experience with AdTech or MarTech solutions and data-driven commerce strategies.
• Prior experience working across multiple Amazon business units, such as AWS, Amazon Ads, Retail, or Supply Chain.
