Solution Architect – Azure

Elca Informatik AG seeks a Senior Solution Architect – Azure in Geneva to design cloud solutions, guide project lifecycles, and advise clients on migration strategies.

The company is looking for a Senior Solution Architect to collaborate with business and engineering teams in developing innovative Azure-based cloud solutions. This role involves guiding projects from initial conception through to delivery, providing architectural consulting to clients, and supporting strategic cloud migration efforts.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud solutions on Azure from scratch.
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to final delivery.
• Offer technological and architectural advice to clients.
• Develop strategic roadmaps for cloud migration and guide their implementation.
• Assist with pre-sales activities, including tender responses, proof-of-concept development, and solution design.
• Contribute to group-wide initiatives to enhance architectural practices and maintain technical excellence.

Requirements

• Minimum of six years of experience in designing and implementing large-scale software solutions.
• At least one year of hands-on experience with Azure.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns, including synchronous and asynchronous communications, RESTful APIs, messaging, and publish-subscribe models.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, including networks, load balancers, web servers, databases, and distributed caches.
• Experience with Azure services for hosting (including serverless), messaging/eventing, workflows, storage, security, and monitoring.
• Experience in designing identity and access management using Azure AD/Entra ID and Azure B2C/Entra External ID.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Bicep, Azure CLI, ARM templates, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps best practices and tooling, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code quality analysis.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Fluency in French or German and English.
