Sr. Software Engineer

Sportradar seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and deploy cloud-native solutions for its Sports Media Team, focusing on scalable data platforms and APIs.

This position supports the Sports Media Team, which develops platforms to collect, curate, and distribute sports data and content. The team provides live game data through Sports APIs to numerous customers, alongside Analytics Products and Broadcast Solutions.

Responsibilities

• Create, test, and launch cloud-native applications for enterprise clients.
• Collaborate within cross-functional groups involving Product, Engineering, Design, and DevOps.
• Coordinate with architecture and external development teams to build aligned services.
• Optimize applications for speed, scale, security, and maintainability.
• Review Pull and Merge Requests to maintain high code quality.
• Promote collaboration and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• At least three years of professional experience in software development and system design.
• Background in data-driven architecture, including RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Proven track record of building scalable, reliable, and maintainable production software.
• Strong proficiency with SQL, NoSQL, and in-memory stores at scale.
• Experience developing Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
• Familiarity with CI/CD models, including GitLab/GitHub and pipeline automation.
• Success working in Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, particularly AWS serverless and containers, in production environments.
