Perk Yokoy seeks a Staff Product Designer to lead the design of its Events platform, managing end-to-end experiences for a multi-sided marketplace while integrating modern AI-driven prototyping workflows.

This position serves as the primary design lead for the Events product, an all-in-one solution that assists organizations in booking providers and coordinating attendees. The role is responsible for shaping intuitive experiences across a complex, multi-sided ecosystem involving corporate planners, support specialists, suppliers, and participants. As the design lead, the individual will define how Events features integrate into the broader Perk platform, ensuring cohesive user journeys from initial scope-setting through to final delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete user experience for the Events product, addressing the distinct needs of various personas and stages of the event lifecycle.
  • Drive strategic discussions with leadership and cross-functional partners to define product direction and scope.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and support teams from the earliest phases of project planning.
  • Execute user research to identify customer pain points and translate findings into clear, intuitive interface designs.
  • Align user requirements with business objectives to ensure design perspectives significantly influence development priorities.
  • Utilize AI-powered tools to create rapid prototypes, exploring interaction patterns early to speed up decision-making.
  • Monitor emerging AI trends and product design patterns to incorporate innovative approaches into the design process.
  • Enhance team capabilities by fostering a culture of constructive critique, establishing design patterns, and raising overall craft standards.

Requirements

  • Proven track record at the Staff level with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of large-scale products.
  • Experience designing complex, multi-step product flows with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Ability to seamlessly shift between high-level strategic thinking and detailed craft execution.
  • Strong empathy for users and a robust foundation in design thinking methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using both qualitative and quantitative data to validate design choices.
  • Demonstrated success in influencing product direction within cross-functional environments.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities to articulate design rationale to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with modern AI-assisted prototyping tools such as Claude, Cursor, and Bolt, along with a clear perspective on AI in product design.
  • Comfortable working in collaborative design and version control environments, specifically Figma and Git.
