Staff Product Designer - Travel

Perk Yokoy seeks a Staff Product Designer to lead the end-to-end design of its Flights experience, combining strategic leadership with hands-on prototyping using modern AI tools.

This position is dedicated to owning the complete lifecycle of the Flights product area. The designer will drive strategic discussions with leadership and collaborate closely with product and engineering teams from the initial scoping phase to ensure the final product aligns with both user needs and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead user research initiatives to identify customer pain points and convert findings into intuitive interface designs.
• Align user requirements with business targets to guarantee design perspectives are central to product development decisions.
• Utilize AI-powered tools to create rapid prototypes, testing interaction models to speed up the decision-making process.
• Monitor emerging artificial intelligence trends and develop a clear design strategy for the organization.
• Enhance team capabilities by fostering a constructive critique culture, establishing design patterns, and elevating overall craft standards.

Requirements

• Proven track record as a staff-level individual contributor with experience managing complex products at scale.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing intricate, multi-step user flows.
• Deep customer empathy and a strong foundation in design thinking methodologies.
• Ability to leverage both qualitative and quantitative data to validate design choices.
• Skill in influencing product direction within cross-functional environments.
• Excellent communication and storytelling abilities to present design rationale to stakeholders.
• Proficiency with modern AI prototyping tools such as Claude, Cursor, and Bolt.
• Comfortable working within Figma for design and Git for version control and collaboration.
