Staff Product Manager - Billing (VAT)

Perk Yokoy seeks a Staff Product Manager to lead the Billing product area, focusing on VAT and global scalability within the Spend ecosystem.

This position is responsible for the Billing product area, a strategic component that enables the company to enter new markets and expand globally. As part of the broader Spend ecosystem, the role involves identifying innovation opportunities, defining product strategy, and overseeing execution to drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Spend ecosystem.
• Execute rapidly with a high-performing team by leveraging customer feedback, data analysis, market research, and AI insights.
• Combine customer insights with technical capabilities to design intuitive user experiences.
• Support millions of employees and thousands of finance teams in managing expenses, corporate cards, and invoice processing.
• Utilize modern AI tools such as Claude and Cursor to prototype quickly and accelerate development cycles.
• Monitor AI research and industry trends to apply creative solutions to product challenges.
• Adopt a servant-leadership style to help the team stay focused, eliminate distractions, and encourage creativity.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years in the tech industry, including at least 5 years in a Product Manager role.
• Practical understanding of accounting reconciliation and finance operations.
• Strong empathy for customers and a design-thinking mindset, with a deep interest in the entire expense lifecycle.
• Ability to make data-driven product decisions.
• Experience in evaluating product decisions and managing prioritization trade-offs.
• Proven track record of leading and influencing small teams of engineers and designers.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders and large cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with modern prototyping tools like Cursor, Bolt, and Claude Code, along with comfort using Figma and Git.

• Prior experience working on Tax products.
• Background in development, design, or business roles.
• A passion for AI demonstrated through hands-on building, prototyping, or side projects.
