Senior Strategy Consultant - Bank Finance Transformation (m/f/d)

Fioneer seeks a Senior Strategy Consultant to drive finance transformation for banking clients, blending strategic insight with technological execution in a remote-friendly role.

This position operates at the crossroads of strategy and technology within a global team dedicated to creating customer value through finance and risk solutions. The consultant will engage in strategic customer opportunities, translating complex business challenges into actionable roadmaps while supporting client engagements from initial shaping through to execution.

Responsibilities

• Direct strategic workstreams within finance transformation initiatives for banking clients.
• Convert intricate business problems into innovative solutions and clear implementation plans.
• Partner with cross-functional groups, including product, delivery, and architecture teams.
• Guide client projects from early-stage definition to final execution, including interactions with C-level executives.
• Foster internal capability growth and support team development.
• Provide thought leadership on banking governance, KPIs, financial performance, and risk management.
• Shape and refine the firm’s finance and risk transformation services for the banking sector.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years in strategy consulting, preferably with a strong analytical background.
• Prior experience in the banking sector with a solid grasp of industry dynamics.
• High tech affinity, including comfort with digital tools, data models, and transformation platforms.
• Background in both strategic change initiatives and operational finance/risk areas such as controlling, data analytics, reporting, and planning.
• Familiarity with transformation programs, including process and operating model design alongside system implementation.
• Fluent proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Experience in risk management.
• Knowledge of finance software, particularly SAP and SAP Fioneer.
• German language proficiency.
