Schindler Elevator seeks a Sustainability Trainee in Ebikon to support ESG data management, reporting, and regulatory compliance within the Global Sustainability Office.

This trainee position places the candidate within Schindler's Global Sustainability Office. The role focuses on managing ESG data, preparing sustainability reports, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. It offers practical experience in contributing to disclosures aligned with frameworks like CSRD and GRI while supporting broader sustainability initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, and analyze sustainability data and ESG key performance indicators to track progress and guide strategic choices.
  • Assist with sustainability reporting tasks, such as drafting content and preparing disclosures that meet CSRD, GRI, and other applicable standards.
  • Enhance reporting processes, methodologies, and tools to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of sustainability data.
  • Research current sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices to aid ongoing initiatives and compliance efforts.
  • Create presentations, internal communications, and meeting materials, while coordinating activities across the Global Sustainability Office.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program at a Swiss university or a Höhere Fachschule (HF) program, with a preference for studies in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated strong interest in sustainability, ESG topics, and corporate responsibility, along with a commitment to continuous learning.

Nice to have

  • Foundational knowledge of sustainability reporting, ESG metrics, or frameworks such as CSRD and GRI.
  • Prior practical experience gained through internships, working student positions, projects, or volunteer work in sustainability-related fields.
  • Fluency in English and German, or proficiency in additional languages.
