SWIFT Data Analyst

SUMMIT RECRUITMENT AG seeks a Mid-level SWIFT Data Analyst in Zürich for on-site work. The role focuses on processing SWIFT messages, managing databases, and driving process improvements within the financial services sector.

This position places a Data Analyst within the financial messaging domain, specifically tasked with handling the end-to-end processing of SWIFT messages. The individual will serve as a bridge between business needs and technical execution, ensuring that financial data flows correctly and efficiently through the organization's systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily processing of SWIFT messages, specifically those formatted in XML.
• Collaborate with internal departments to map out their complex financial messaging requirements.
• Analyze current workflows to spot inefficiencies and draft actionable plans for system enhancements.
• Partner with both business stakeholders and technology teams to propose and implement necessary changes.
• Maintain and manage relational databases to support data integrity and accessibility.
• Ensure all activities adhere to internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory obligations.

Requirements

• Proven expertise with MS Access, SQL, or comparable data management tools.
• Deep understanding of SWIFT FIN MT message structures.
• Solid grasp of XML document architecture and syntax.
• Practical experience utilizing JIRA and GitLab for project and code management.
• Fluent proficiency in English for professional communication.
