System & Process Manager (Freight Forwarding)

DP World Global Forwarding Switzerland seeks a Senior System & Process Manager to bridge business operations and IT, driving digital transformation and process optimization in freight forwarding.

This position serves as a critical link between the company’s Product, Operations, and IT departments. The role focuses on enhancing operational and digital capabilities within Freight Forwarding Products, ensuring that system usage drives continuous improvement and aligns with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main liaison between Air and Ocean Product teams and IT to manage operating systems, processes, and user requirements.
• Lead business integration efforts for newly acquired entities, working closely with Project Management Office (PMI) teams.
• Design solutions for Air and Ocean Freight systems to facilitate the integration of new business units.
• Convert business needs into technical developments, draft Business Request forms, and pinpoint system gaps.
• Provide expert business guidance to steer system development and ensure it meets operational standards.
• Identify opportunities to optimize processes, aiming to lower costs, mitigate risks, and boost efficiency.
• Train superusers and assist in the transition to the standard Transport Management System (TMS).
• Coordinate and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the standard TiAb system.
• Review and adapt standard procedures and training materials to fit local requirements.

Requirements

• Extensive background in logistics, freight forwarding, or regulated supply chain sectors.
• Deep understanding of Air and Ocean processes and Transport Management Systems (TMS).
• Over 10 years of experience in logistics and technology/IT, including program or project management in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate business needs into system requirements.
• Experience in process engineering, continuous improvement methodologies, and performance management.
• Fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel internationally (20–30%) to support on-site audits, integrations, and operational needs.

• Additional languages such as Dutch or French.
