Adaptyv seeks a Talent Lead in Lausanne to build its hiring function from the ground up. This role involves owning the end-to-end recruitment process for a rapidly scaling biotech company focused on automated labs.
As Adaptyv expands from approximately 25 to 50 employees, this position is critical for establishing a robust talent acquisition infrastructure. The successful candidate will construct the recruiting team, refine hiring standards, and ensure the organization attracts top-tier scientific and engineering talent to support its mission of automating biological experimentation.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle, from role definition and job posting to pipeline development and final candidate selection.
- Establish and lead a specialized recruiting team, serving as both manager and active contributor in the hiring process.
- Oversee inbound candidate flows to prevent the loss of high-quality applicants.
- Coordinate and execute paid work trials, ensuring seamless scheduling, internal candidate matching, and a positive experience for all participants.
- Act as the primary human ambassador for the company, effectively communicating the mission to prospective hires.
- Administer and enhance the Applicant Tracking System (Ashby), including the integration of AI-driven tools.
- Collaborate with hiring managers across biology, software, automation, and commercial departments to elevate hiring criteria.
- Design and implement organizational frameworks for hiring, such as leveling structures, compensation bands, interview protocols, and onboarding procedures.
Requirements
- Several years of experience recruiting technical talent within high-growth environments.
- Strong ability to engage with scientists and engineers, possessing sufficient knowledge of biology, software, and lab automation to evaluate candidate competence.
- A focus on long-term organizational success rather than short-term placement metrics or fee cycles.
- Proficient use of AI tools to automate recruiting tasks and leverage pipeline efficiency.
- High autonomy and initiative, with the ability to identify and resolve process inefficiencies without relying on a prioritized requisition list.
- Rapid learning capability to quickly grasp unfamiliar technical domains.
- A bias for speed and decisive action, prioritizing agility over rigid corporate procedures.
- Strong judgment in people assessment, with the confidence to maintain high standards and provide candid feedback to leadership.
