Teamlead Procurement & Supply Chain

Wingtra 2 seeks a Teamlead for Procurement & Supply Chain in Zürich to lead a four-person team, manage hard goods and software procurement, and drive supply chain improvements for its aerial robotics scale-up.

Wingtra 2 is a venture-backed robotics company founded at ETH Zurich that builds aerial robots to digitize the world. This position leads a small team of four (two Procurement and two Supply Chain experts) to align purchasing activities with operations strategy, manage supplier relationships, and implement lean processes that support the company's global scaling efforts.

Responsibilities

• Align all purchasing activities with the broader operations strategy and coordinate with key internal partners such as production and R&D.
• Supervise and develop a team consisting of two Procurement and two Supply Chain experts.
• Oversee the acquisition of physical materials (electronics, plastics, shell-foam, commodities) as well as software licenses within a defined supplier network.
• Identify and implement lean process improvements in collaboration with partners to facilitate company growth.
• Manage supplier contracts across the product lifecycle, conduct audits, and monitor supplier performance against quality and on-time delivery targets.
• Ensure ERP systems contain accurate and up-to-date supplier and product data.
• Manage relationships with internal departments (R&D, production, product management) and external partners.

Requirements

• More than five years of experience in commodity, strategic, or project buying.
• Over two years of experience in a leadership role.
• Deep expertise in end-to-end procurement of physical goods (especially electronics, plastics, shell-foam, commodities) and software licensing.
• Background in international logistics and freight forwarding.
• Strong analytical abilities to independently resolve complex challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and reporting skills.
• Experience conducting audits and evaluating suppliers.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Odoo preferred) and IT/AI tools for automation and data analysis.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with LEAN management principles.
• Solution-focused mindset with strong prioritization skills across multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent English proficiency; additional languages are advantageous.

Nice to have

• Experience working in similar industries or markets.
• Knowledge of legal matters.
• Understanding of certifications and regulations such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
