Tech Lead: Manufacturing Intelligence

SAEKI Robotics AG in Zürich seeks a Tech Lead for Manufacturing Intelligence to architect and lead the intelligence layer enabling autonomous factories. The role requires deep expertise in ML/AI, computational geometry, and algorithmic software, with a focus on real-world manufacturing execution.

SAEKI is developing the operating system for autonomous factories, enabling Europe to produce mission-critical components at software speed. As Tech Lead, you will own the intelligence layer that powers this system — including perception, reasoning, and algorithms that encode decades of manufacturing knowledge into code.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the intelligence layer that transforms raw geometry into executable manufacturing plans
• Architect and own core capabilities within the Manufacturing Intelligence stack
• Build and lead the engineering team responsible for delivering the intelligence platform
• Lead by example and actively engage with hardware integration challenges
• Spend time on production floors in Germany to ensure algorithms perform under real manufacturing conditions

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience as a software engineer in ML/AI systems, computational geometry, or complex algorithmic software under real-world constraints
• Advanced academic background: MSc/PhD or equivalent research depth in Computer Science, Robotics, or AI (preferably from ETH Zurich, EPFL, TUM, or similar institutions)
• Proven experience architecting and shipping systems where the logic itself is the product, solving complex combinatorial or geometric problems
• Experience recruiting and mentoring high-performing engineering teams
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments with a strong sense of urgency
• Must be able to work onsite at the company’s headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland

• Prior experience with computational geometry, ML/AI, or complex algorithmic software
