Technical Configuration Developer

Hamilton Services AG in Risch-Rotkreuz, CH, seeks a Junior Technical Configuration Developer for a full-time, on-site role. The position requires a degree in Computer Science or equivalent, strong programming skills in JavaScript, Python, and SQL, and experience with XML, Linux, and CAD tools. Candidates must have excellent English skills and be able to work in a collaborative, hands-on development environment.

This role supports the R&D software development team by contributing to requirement definition, system architecture, and software implementation. The position is focused on technical configuration and development within a structured, quality-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Product Owner in defining and clarifying software requirements
• Work with Software Architects to shape and extend system design and architecture
• Gain understanding of 3D modeling and CAD integration processes
• Develop and optimize features using a specified programming language
• Create and improve automated tests to maintain software quality
• Validate code using simulators and actual hardware instruments
• Conduct code reviews following established procedures
• Maintain documentation in line with company processes
• Provide third-level support for software-related issues

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable field
• Several years of software development experience, with a proactive and responsible approach
• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming, scripting (JavaScript, Python), and SQL
• Very good understanding of XML as a metalanguage
• Familiarity with markup languages, vector mathematics, and database queries
• Experience using IDEs such as Eclipse or Visual Studio
• Basic knowledge of Linux, 3D modeling, and CAD tools
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
