Abbott seeks a German-speaking Territory Manager in Baar to drive CardioMEMS adoption and heart failure business growth across Switzerland.

This position focuses on expanding the use of CardioMEMS therapy and remote monitoring solutions within the assigned Swiss territory. The role involves building strong referral networks, optimizing patient care pathways, and driving sustainable growth for the heart failure business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Meet sales objectives by increasing volume, activating new accounts, and expanding the use of CardioMEMS technology.
  • Create and implement detailed territory strategies to boost the uptake of remote monitoring and CardioMEMS therapies.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with cardiologists, clinic administrators, and other key healthcare stakeholders.
  • Lead negotiations on pricing and contracts while identifying opportunities to deepen existing business relationships.
  • Increase therapy utilization in current implanting centers and identify new accounts for growth.
  • Expand referral networks by engaging with community physicians and clinics to improve patient access to care.
  • Map and refine patient pathways to facilitate earlier detection and better management of heart failure.
  • Work with clinical and non-clinical teams to build business cases for implementing CardioMEMS services.
  • Analyze market data and patient populations to spot strategic growth opportunities.
  • Provide clinical education, product training, and awareness programs to healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with procedure support and ensure smooth integration of the therapy into clinic workflows.
  • Offer ongoing technical and clinical support to help clinicians use hemodynamic data for patient management.
  • Partner with Marketing, Clinical, and Digital teams to launch campaigns and educational initiatives.
  • Manage pipeline, forecasting, and CRM reporting while adhering to company policies and regulations.
  • Represent the company at scientific workshops, customer meetings, and national or international congresses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven background in medical device, healthcare, or cardiovascular sales.
  • Track record of driving therapy adoption, developing accounts, and expanding professional networks.
  • Experience working with heart failure clinics, outpatient settings, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop and execute data-driven territory plans.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills to engage clinicians and administrators.
  • Ability to translate complex clinical and technical information into clear customer value propositions.
  • Deep understanding of referral pathways, heart failure networks, and patient care models.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • High level of self-motivation, initiative, and commitment to delivering results.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory and provide flexible support.
  • Strong commitment to compliance, ethical business conduct, and patient-focused outcomes.
  • Fluent proficiency in German and English.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the assigned region in Switzerland.
