Wingtra AG seeks a Working Student Drone Tester in Zürich for outdoor mission execution, data logging, and engineering support. This onsite role requires a driving license and technical study enrollment.
This hands-on position focuses on conducting outdoor test flights with advanced drones, collecting operational data, and communicating findings directly to the engineering team to support product development.
Responsibilities
- Prepare drone hardware and equipment, then execute scheduled outdoor test missions.
- Record results and note any unexpected behavior from the drones or associated applications.
- Upload flight logs and test data to provide feedback to engineers.
- Create clear issue tickets and perform follow-up tests alongside the engineering staff.
- Travel to various test sites around Zurich, including rural or mountainous areas.
- Potential to expand into related tasks such as drone repair or developing test tooling.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a technical Bachelor’s program, preferably in the early or middle stages.
- Hold a valid Swiss Category B driving license and feel confident driving in rural or mountainous terrain.
- Be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and on different terrains; remote work is not an option.
- Demonstrate carefulness, reliability, and safety awareness, along with strong observational and communication skills.
- Possess very good spoken and written English skills (B2 level or higher).
- Feel at ease learning and utilizing new software tools.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of the German language is considered an advantage.
- While prior professional or drone experience is not required, a hands-on attitude, sense of ownership, and willingness to learn are essential.
