Working Student – Procurement & Logistics (f/m/d)

Hexagon Robotics seeks a Working Student for Procurement & Logistics in Zürich to support supply chain operations, supplier management, and process improvement within a fast-growing robotics division.

This position is part of the Operations team at Hexagon Robotics, a division of Hexagon focused on developing humanoid robots for industrial use. As the company transitions from development to industrialization, this role helps execute daily procurement and logistics tasks while contributing to the foundational processes needed for scaling the business.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement workflow from initial supplier quotes through purchase order generation and delivery tracking
• Serve as the primary contact for suppliers regarding pricing, order status, delivery timelines, and required documentation
• Assist with onboarding new vendors and setting up supplier profiles in SAP
• Monitor open purchase orders to anticipate and mitigate delivery delays or supply chain disruptions
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier data, and operational reports
• Coordinate logistics activities, including shipment tracking and resolving delivery issues
• Analyze supply chain data to enhance visibility and support strategic decisions
• Prepare KPI reports and monitor operational performance metrics
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and external partners to align with business goals
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase transparency and reduce manual work

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Engineering, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated interest in procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or operations within a technology-focused setting
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, capable of interpreting data to spot trends, risks, and opportunities
• Excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Clear and confident communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external suppliers
• Proactive mindset with a curiosity for understanding and optimizing processes
• Ability to take ownership of assignments and see them through to completion
• Fluent proficiency in English

Nice to have

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Prior experience with SAP or other ERP platforms
• Familiarity with Teamcenter or other PLM systems
• Knowledge of the German language
