Agile Requirements Engineer (A)

Bosshard & Partner AG seeks a Senior Agile Requirements Engineer in Luzern to bridge business and technical teams, translating requirements into high-quality digital solutions for their premium calculator.

This position acts as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, UX designers, architects, and developers. The incumbent will drive the evolution of the digital premium calculator by ensuring that business needs are accurately analyzed, prioritized, and converted into effective technical implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document both business and technical needs.
  • Convert business needs into structured Planning Increments, Features, User Stories, and Enablers.
  • Assist the Product Owner with backlog management, prioritization, and sprint preparation.
  • Proactively identify and resolve open questions or ownership gaps.
  • Facilitate workshops, refinements, and technical alignments to guide decision-making.
  • Draft high-quality User Stories complete with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in iteration planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain Epics, Features, and User Stories within Jira and Confluence.
  • Develop necessary artifacts for UI, BFF, and backend processes.
  • Support quality assurance by defining acceptance criteria and assisting with test case creation.
  • Analyze current processes to continuously improve collaboration and product development workflows.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience as a Requirements Engineer or Business Analyst in agile settings (Scrum, SAFe, or similar).
  • Deep understanding of business analysis, business processes, and modern software development methodologies.
  • Strong technical grasp of software architectures and digital sales channels.
  • Proven expertise in Requirements Engineering techniques including User Stories, Story Mapping, Story Splitting, and Backlog Refinement.
  • Experience in creating roadmaps and coordinating cross-team planning.
  • Proficient use of Jira and Confluence.
  • Ability to clearly present complex requirements and engage various stakeholders.
  • High level of personal accountability and prioritization skills under time pressure.
  • German language proficiency at C2 level.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience within the health insurance sector.
  • Familiarity with Figma, Draw.io, or similar design and diagramming tools.
