AI Platform System Engineer

J. Safra Sarasin seeks a Senior AI Platform System Engineer to design and maintain scalable GPU infrastructure and AI platforms. The role requires strong Linux, Kubernetes, and scripting skills.

This position supports the platform team by delivering technical engineering and operational infrastructure services for artificial intelligence projects. The engineer works closely with various stakeholders to ensure robust system performance and availability.

Responsibilities

• Architect and improve scalable AI infrastructure services tailored for GPU workloads
• Deploy and manage enterprise AI platforms, such as Kubernetes and OpenShift, for model inference
• Operate high-performance computing clusters, including bare-metal and virtual GPU servers
• Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure incidents across hardware and software layers
• Assist data science teams with infrastructure provisioning and support
• Execute critical infrastructure tasks and participate in on-call rotations

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science
• At least 5 years of IT system administration experience
• 3+ years of specialized Linux experience, with RHEL preferred
• Proficiency in Shell, Python, and Ansible scripting
• Deep knowledge of GPU topologies and architectures, including NVLink and PCIe switching
• Expertise in container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, and ArgoCD
• Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and DCGM Exporter
• Familiarity with ITIL methodologies
