The Applied AI Engineer role at Deepjudge involves working directly with clients to understand their operational needs and developing AI-driven solutions that address real-world challenges. This is a hands-on position focused on turning the company’s platform into valuable, scalable experiences for customers, combining technical execution with strategic problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of customer-specific AI projects, from initial problem analysis and solution design to development, deployment, evaluation, and ongoing enhancement.
- Develop reusable AI solutions using Deepjudge’s internal platform and tools, ensuring they are robust and scalable for thousands of end users.
- Collaborate with engineering and machine learning teams to enhance core product features and increase the platform’s intelligence over time.
- Support customers and their technical or innovation teams by providing hands-on guidance, documentation, and tools to maximize platform value.
- Assess emerging LLM models and techniques, and integrate promising approaches into production systems.
- Identify improvement opportunities and coordinate cross-team efforts to advance key initiatives quickly.
Requirements
- Proven experience creating technically complex applications using LLMs, whether through APIs, frameworks like DSPy, LangChain, or LangGraph, or custom-built systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python or JavaScript.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of what delivers value and a commitment to quality in shipped work.
- Resilient problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments requiring independent decision-making.
- No legal background is necessary, but a willingness to gain domain expertise over time is expected.
