Bristol Myers Squibb seeks an Associate Director Global Clinical Scientist in Boudry (CH) to lead late-stage clinical development, manage study protocols, and provide scientific oversight for assigned therapeutic areas.
This position serves as a core member of the Late Clinical Development Function, delivering scientific expertise to design and execute clinical studies with precision and speed. The individual contributor supports assigned programs and plays a pivotal role in implementing the Global Clinical Development Strategy for specific assets or indications.
Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for the development, execution, and regulatory submission of clinical studies.
- Develop clinical protocols and manage regulatory documents such as Investigator Brochures and submissions.
- Review and interpret clinical data, including validating Clinical Study Reports (CSRs).
- Create and execute strategies for site and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement.
- Standardize data standards, programming specifications, and statistical analysis plans across programs.
- Share lessons learned to align teams, avoid unnecessary amendments, and ensure consistency with asset-level protocol elements.
- Serve as Trial Lead for complex clinical studies when required.
- Present data and study information to internal and external stakeholders, including investigators and study staff.
- Proactively develop and share best practices to guide Clinical Science teams.
- Provide clinical oversight of study data, leveraging best practices to ensure quality and accuracy.
Requirements
- Degree in Life Sciences (MD, PhD, Pharm D, MS, RN, or other scientific field).
- 10+ years of experience in Clinical R&D roles, including working in a matrix environment.
- Recognized expertise in a specific Therapeutic Area and/or Functional area.
- Advanced knowledge of GCP/ICH, the drug development process from discovery to registration, study design, statistics, clinical operations, and the regulatory environment.
- Advanced verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across all functions and job levels.
- Ability to assimilate technical information quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to influence within study teams, therapeutic areas, departments, and functions.
- Leadership presence and strong presentation skills.
