CSL Behring Vifor seeks an Associate Director of Non-Clinical Pharmacology in Schlieren to lead PK/PD and efficacy studies for cardiovascular and renal therapies within an agile R&D team.
This position sits within CSL’s research and development division, aiming to speed up the creation of impactful patient therapies. Based in Schlieren, Zurich, the role requires joining a dynamic group dedicated to delivering treatments with significant global reach.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute protocols for nonclinical pharmacology research, specifically targeting PK/PD and efficacy assessments in translational models for cardiovascular and renal conditions.
- Work closely with PK, toxicology, and translational science groups to align nonclinical pharmacology strategies with overall drug discovery efforts.
- Coordinate with internal departments, academic partners, or contract research organizations to guarantee the timely and high-quality delivery of pharmacology studies.
- Oversee external vendors and partners, providing direction and reviewing experiments performed by third parties.
- Serve as a subject matter expert within project teams, offering strategic guidance on nonclinical pharmacology execution.
- Draft study reports and presentations, sharing key findings with internal stakeholders and external collaborators.
- Support the preparation of regulatory documentation required for Investigational New Drug (IND) submissions.
- Promote an environment characterized by scientific rigor, psychological safety, innovation, and ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Physiology, Biomedical Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
- At least five years of professional experience in nonclinical pharmacology within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
- Deep knowledge of in vivo pharmacology, disease modeling, and translational science, particularly regarding cardiovascular and/or renal disease biology.
