Synpulse seeks an Associate Partner to lead its (Re)insurance Data & AI practice in Zürich, driving transformation strategies and mentoring teams for global clients.
The company is looking for a senior leader to direct its (Re)insurance Data & AI practice. This position involves advising top-tier commercial insurers and reinsurers on how to use data, analytics, and artificial intelligence to modernize their operations. The role also focuses on expanding Synpulse’s global consulting capabilities by creating new service offerings and developing future consulting leaders.
Responsibilities
- Guide executive teams in developing strategies for business transformation, data, and AI.
- Design future operating models and AI-driven capabilities, helping clients define long-term change agendas.
- Provide evidence-based perspectives on future insurance operations, challenging existing assumptions when necessary.
- Oversee complex transformation programs from initial strategy through to successful implementation.
- Deliver measurable results in areas such as underwriting, claims, operations, and distribution.
- Monitor emerging trends in data, generative AI, and agentic systems, converting them into practical consulting assets and viewpoints.
- Act as a catalyst for internal consulting transformation to expand capabilities in commercial insurance and P&C reinsurance.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the consulting practice and Synpulse8, the engineering and technology unit.
- Build, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams while fostering an AI-first culture across international locations.
- Develop innovative consulting offerings, frameworks, and reusable assets based on market trends.
- Enhance the company’s market position in AI and (Re)insurance sectors.
- Contribute subject-matter expertise to sales conversations led by market-facing colleagues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years in transformation roles within management consulting, insurance, reinsurance, or Insurtech.
- Practical experience with data, analytics, generative AI, or agentic AI initiatives, including strategy, design, and delivery.
- Proven ability to turn emerging AI ideas into practical use cases, delivery assets, and client-ready narratives.
- Track record in capability building, proposition development, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
- Deep understanding of process, operating models, information architecture, and core systems in the relevant domain.
- Business and data architecture background with strong data literacy and the ability to design future-state operations for AI-driven environments.
- Extensive experience advising C-level stakeholders and executive leadership teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial acumen.
- Structured, precise, and intellectually honest approach, with the ability to challenge senior stakeholders directly but politely.
- Comfortable engaging with senior client stakeholders, synthesizing complex topics, and translating technical concepts into business narratives.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English proficiency.
