Synpulse seeks a Consultant or Senior Consultant in Zürich to advise (re)insurance clients on digital transformation, strategy, and operational change.
The company engages leading (re)insurance firms to navigate complex transformation initiatives. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, collaborating with clients and leading interdisciplinary teams to analyze strategic and operational challenges. You will design innovative solutions and drive implementation from initial strategy through to final execution.
Responsibilities
- Support or lead projects focused on digital transformation, process optimization, operating model design, data-centric operations, system migration, and bespoke software delivery for the (re)insurance sector.
- Analyze existing business models and requirements to identify pain points, then visualize and communicate proposed solutions to clients.
- Design future-state landscapes and solutions, covering business strategy, operations, data strategy, and technical software design and implementation.
- Collaborate closely with internal colleagues, clients, and partners, contributing to workshops, client presentations, and project deliverables.
- Work in international settings with colleagues and clients across different geographies and cultures.
- Contribute to knowledge building, methodology development, and internal initiatives within the Synpulse Commercial Insurance & Reinsurance practice.
- Depending on the level, support workstreams as a Consultant or take responsibility for managing them as a Senior Consultant, including coordinating team members and interacting directly with client stakeholders.
Requirements
- A first-class Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a well-regarded university.
- An affinity for IT and Artificial Intelligence (AI), with an interest in complex systems such as reinsurance core platforms, data landscapes, and integration architectures.
- Relevant experience in commercial insurance and reinsurance, or a demonstrated affinity towards the industry.
- Strong communication skills in English are required.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills.
- High capacity for teamwork and strong social competences.
- For Senior Consultant: 2-5 years of relevant experience in consulting or within a (re)insurance company.
- For Senior Consultant: Proven ability to manage workstreams or subprojects independently.
- For Senior Consultant: Experience in stakeholder management and mentoring junior colleagues.
Nice to have
- Strong communication skills in German are preferred.
