Synpulse seeks a Consultant or Senior Consultant in Zürich to advise primary insurers on digital transformation, process optimization, and regulatory implementation within a hybrid work model.
Positioned within the Insurance Advisory practice, this role supports major players in the P&C, Life, and Health sectors. The consultant acts as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate complex transformation initiatives while contributing to interdisciplinary project teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support end-to-end transformation projects for primary insurers, covering strategy through to implementation.
- Drive consulting engagements focused on digital transformation, process optimization, target operating model design, regulatory compliance, product innovation, and core system migrations.
- Analyze existing business models and processes to pinpoint risks, pain points, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating workshops and delivering client presentations.
- Contribute to the development of internal methodologies and knowledge bases within the Insurance practice.
- Manage workstreams and coordinate team members (Senior Consultant level) or support specific workstreams (Consultant level), including direct client interaction.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or natural sciences from a reputable university or university of applied sciences.
- Strong interest in technology at the business-IT intersection, with a solid grasp of digital solutions and insurance IT landscapes.
- An implementation-oriented mindset focused on driving initiatives through to rollout and adoption.
- Prior experience within the primary insurance sector (P&C, Life, or Health).
- Fluency in both German and English.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual abilities.
- Strong teamwork skills and social competence.
Nice to have
- Consulting or insurance industry experience gained through internships or entry-level roles (Consultant level).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with curiosity and initiative (Consultant level).
- Confidence in client-facing communication scenarios (Consultant level).
- Several years of relevant experience in consulting or insurance companies (Senior Consultant level).
- Proven track record of independently managing workstreams or subprojects (Senior Consultant level).
- Experience in stakeholder management and mentoring junior colleagues (Senior Consultant level).
