Avionics Junior Sales Engineer

Jet Aviation seeks a Junior Sales Engineer in Basel to support the RMU Quotation Team with avionics upgrade proposals for business and large aircraft.

This position sits within the Retrofit, Modification & Upgrades Quotation Team, bridging engineering expertise with commercial strategy. The primary objective is to develop customized avionics solutions for business jets and large aircraft, ensuring that technical capabilities align with business goals and customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the quotation workflow for standard avionics upgrades, guiding projects from initial inquiry through to final delivery to execution teams.
• Collaborate with sales representatives and clients to clarify requirements and convert them into viable technical solutions.
• Gather necessary technical assumptions, cost data, and scheduling details by coordinating with Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Planning departments.
• Compile and format professional quotation packages and commercial bids using established internal systems.
• Provide technical and operational insights during customer meetings and commercial negotiations.
• Maintain accuracy in proposal documents by ensuring all updates and revisions are consistently applied.
• Facilitate efficient transitions from the proposal phase to project execution.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Engineering obtained from a technical university or engineering school.
• Approximately two years of relevant experience in the aviation sector, such as in Engineering, Request for Proposal Management, or Sales Project Management.
• Solid technical grasp of avionics systems, including cockpit, cabin, and embedded electronics used in business or commercial aviation.
• Familiarity with the aerospace landscape, including MROs, OEMs, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
• Fluent English proficiency at the C1 level.

Nice to have

• Experience with SalesForce and SAP platforms.
• Ability to communicate in French or German.
