Backend Developer with DevOps Expertise

ParetoLabs seeks a Senior Backend Developer with DevOps expertise to build AI-driven applications in Zurich. The role combines backend engineering, infrastructure automation, and team mentorship in a hybrid setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cutting-edge AI applications, including LLM-driven agents and co-pilot tools.
• Automate and optimize the entire software lifecycle, including builds, deployments, testing procedures, and system monitoring.
• Take full ownership of the architecture, implementation, and day-to-day operation of both production and development environments.
• Mentor colleagues within the diverse, multicultural team to promote knowledge sharing and professional growth.
• Translate innovative concepts into tangible project implementations.

Requirements

• A solid academic or practical foundation in computer science.
• Extensive background as a full-stack developer, with a pronounced emphasis on backend technologies, particularly Python.
• Working knowledge of front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Deep expertise in Shell Scripting, CI/CD pipeline management, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), server provisioning, and monitoring/alerting strategies.
• Strong understanding of networking principles, database management, backup protocols, and disaster recovery planning.
• Excellent communication abilities in either English or German.
