Distalmotion SA seeks a Clinical Training Specialist to deliver hands-on training on the DEXTER Robotic Surgical System across European healthcare institutions, covering surgeons, nurses, and technicians.
This position focuses on providing practical instruction on the DEXTER Robotic Surgical System to medical professionals throughout Europe. The role encompasses onboarding new Clinical Sales Specialists, managing training facilities, and maintaining engagement with key stakeholders to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate practical learning sessions for surgeons, nursing staff, and reprocessing technicians in dry labs, wet labs, and hospital settings across Europe.
- Utilize diverse training methods, including porcine, cadaveric, inanimate models, and simulation exercises.
- Adapt educational content and delivery techniques to address the unique needs of various stakeholders and regional regulations.
- Provide internal instruction to recruit and certify new Clinical Sales Specialists operating in European regions.
- Evaluate trainee performance and manage the certification process to confirm readiness for customer-facing positions.
- Coordinate with training centre owners and internal teams to handle logistics, inventory, and equipment upkeep.
- Contribute to the enhancement and expansion of the European training infrastructure.
- Organize and conduct refresher courses to keep stakeholder skills and knowledge up to date.
- Engage in continuous professional development to maintain optimal expertise levels.
- Partner with cross-functional departments to align training delivery with corporate objectives across European markets.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external partners to promote a culture of ongoing learning.
- Document training activities, attendance, and performance evaluations in accordance with European regulatory standards.
Requirements
- A clinical or technical background related to surgical training, such as nursing, surgical technology, or biomedical engineering.
- Prior experience in clinical education, medical device support, or operating room environments.
- Familiarity with MDR 2017/745 regulations as they apply to clinical training and documentation.
- Fluency in English and either French or German.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout Europe for training delivery and site support.
- Unrestricted right to work within the European Union.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with experience working across diverse cultural settings.
- Ability to obtain necessary vendor credentialing for hospital and operating room access in European countries.
Nice to have
- Experience with robotic or minimally invasive surgical procedures.
- Proficiency in Italian.
