Clinical Sales Specialist

Distalmotion seeks a Clinical Sales Specialist in Lausanne, CH, for a full-time onsite role. The position requires healthcare training, OR experience, fluency in French and English, and strong communication skills to support Dexter robot utilization and clinical training.

This role focuses on providing clinical support for the Dexter robotic system within the installed base, driving adoption across surgical specialties, and ensuring optimal utilization in hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Promote the use of Dexter procedures among customers in the assigned territory.
• Expand Dexter’s reach by cross-selling to clinical specialties not currently using it, supporting the sales team.
• Assist local Sales Directors or Managers in meeting and exceeding targets for Dexter surgery usage.
• Train surgeons and OR staff on Dexter’s robotic system before and during procedures.
• Provide clinical support during setup, surgery, and post-operative phases.
• Assess customer needs throughout the implementation process.
• Oversee Dexter handover to BioMed and OR teams, including on-site commissioning.
• Guide hospital CDS departments on reprocessing Dexter’s reusable tools.
• Present and communicate the clinical advantages of Dexter to stakeholders.
• Manage customer satisfaction and develop relationships with surgeons and key opinion leaders.
• Attend major trade fairs, events, and engage directly with the market.
• Forecast usage trends and promote new Dexter products and upgrades.

Requirements

• Completed professional healthcare training (e.g., nurse, anaesthetist, or similar).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an operating theatre (hospital or clinic) or equivalent training as a Clinical Sales or Clinical Specialist.
• Fluency in French (mandatory).
• Proficiency in English required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a proactive, hands-on approach and organized, flexible mindset.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge in General Surgery, Gynaecology, or Urology.
• Background in start-ups, product launches, or high-growth commercial environments.
• Additional language skills beyond French and English.
