Pharmsight GmbH seeks a Competitive Intelligence Associate to monitor pharma landscapes and deliver strategic insights for global clients. This remote role requires US/Canada residency and strong analytical skills.
As a strategic consulting firm specializing in bio-pharmaceutical innovation, Pharmsight focuses on competitive intelligence, forecasting, and launch strategy. This position supports global clients by tracking marketed products and pipeline assets to provide high-impact market insights.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to define, refine, and prioritize research objectives.
- Work directly with clients to clarify goals, present data-driven findings, and inform commercial, regulatory, and clinical strategies.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, company activities, clinical trial progress, regulatory updates, and epidemiology data within key therapy areas.
- Track competitor activities, including mergers and acquisitions, trial schedules, launch plans, and upcoming catalysts.
- Create detailed profiles for companies, markets, and specific drugs.
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly newsletters that highlight key implications and trends.
- Monitor investor relations materials such as annual reports, SEC filings, and presentation decks.
- Attend 4–5 medical conferences per year to gather primary research, attend sessions, and produce post-event reports.
- Synthesize competitive data into actionable recommendations and strategic insights.
- Utilize CI databases like AlphaSense, Pharmatell, and Citeline for information gathering.
- Perform ad-hoc deep-dive analyses to identify emerging market dynamics, threats, and opportunities.
- Share knowledge through formal presentations and informal mentoring with team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or a related scientific discipline, or an MBA.
- 2–3 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a consulting setting.
- Must reside in the United States or Canada within the Eastern Time Zone.
- Familiarity with standard competitive intelligence sources (e.g., Citeline, Pharmatell, AlphaSense) and clinical or regulatory websites.
