Quantum Infotec AG seeks a Market Intelligence and Foresight Analyst to support its Quantum TTO team in remote work. The role involves monitoring the global quantum ecosystem, conducting strategic analysis, and producing foresight reports to aid commercialization efforts.

This position functions as a central analytical resource within the Quantum TTO team, which is dedicated to bringing quantum research to global markets. Reporting to the Executive Director or the Head of Strategy/Operations, the analyst supports all internal teams by providing data-driven insights and strategic foresight to accelerate the commercial adoption of quantum technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the global quantum technology landscape, including advancements in computing, communication, and sensing.
  • Track industry news, scientific publications, patent activity, funding rounds, and regulatory changes.
  • Maintain and update internal dashboards and knowledge bases with key industry metrics.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and emerging signals affecting quantum commercialization.
  • Conduct foresight exercises, such as scenario planning and technology roadmapping, to anticipate market shifts.
  • Produce detailed market assessment reports for specific projects and technologies under the team’s scope.
  • Create clear presentations and reports to communicate findings to executives and project teams.
  • Act as an internal consultant, offering data-driven recommendations to other departments.
  • Manage market intelligence tools, including maintaining directories and internal repositories.
  • Engage with external partners to exchange intelligence and gather insights.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and webinars.
  • Lead the creation of an annual or periodic “Quantum Foresight” report.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least five years of experience in market research, intelligence analysis, or strategic planning, preferably in the tech sector.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including statistical analysis and trend extrapolation.
  • Solid understanding of quantum technology concepts and the broader industry landscape.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, accessible insights and narratives.
  • Meticulous attention to research accuracy and source validation.
  • Strategic mindset focused on future possibilities rather than just current states.
  • Collaborative attitude with experience interfacing with diverse stakeholders.
  • Competence with office software, market databases, and data analysis tools.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Technology Management, Foresight/Futures Studies, or a quantum-related scientific field.
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as AI, nanotech, cybersecurity, or quantum specifically.
  • Background in consulting, research firms, or R&D strategy departments.
  • Familiarity with forecasting methodologies like SWOT analysis, scenario planning, or predictive modeling.
  • Experience writing whitepapers, market reports, or executive briefs.
  • Strong data visualization skills and comfort presenting to groups.
  • Knowledge of patent, academic, and startup databases such as PitchBook or Crunchbase.
