Quant Trader

Mathrix in Zug, CH, seeks a mid-level Quant Trader for a full-time, onsite role. The position involves executing trades, managing PnL, and developing trading strategies in a 24/7 crypto market environment, requiring strong analytical skills, quick decision-making, and collaboration with research and technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute trades in real-time across crypto markets
• Manage and monitor profit and loss (PnL) performance
• Handle day-to-day trading operations
• Develop, maintain, and enhance trading strategies
• Identify and act on market opportunities quickly
• Make rapid, informed decisions under pressure
• Collaborate with trading, research, and technology teams

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Econometrics, or equivalent field
• Minimum one year of experience in high-frequency trading or completed internship at an HFT firm
• Strong desire to track and understand ongoing market developments
• Team-oriented, competitive, goal-driven mindset with excellent analytical abilities
• Proven ability to spot opportunities and act on them
• Capacity to make split-second decisions in high-pressure situations
• Programming experience, preferably in Python or another relevant language
• Self-motivated, proactive, honest, flexible, and resilient under stress
