Solvias seeks a Consolidation & Reporting Manager to lead group consolidation, financial reporting, and Board-level analysis within its CRO finance team.

This position serves as a central pillar for the Group Finance department, reporting directly to the Head of Controlling, Reporting & Consolidation. The incumbent is responsible for the complete end-to-end group consolidation cycle and the production of high-quality management reports. By blending technical consolidation tasks with strategic performance analysis, the role ensures that senior leadership receives accurate, timely financial insights to support decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full group consolidation cycle for monthly, quarterly, and annual periods across all legal entities.
  • Draft consolidated financial statements that strictly adhere to Swiss GAAP FER standards.
  • Process, review, and validate consolidation journal entries, account reconciliations, and all supporting documentation.
  • Govern the intercompany reconciliation and elimination procedures to ensure balance sheet accuracy.
  • Handle foreign currency translation, intercompany balance management, and necessary consolidation adjustments.
  • Maintain, update, and enhance the consolidation model and chart of accounts within the Tagetik system.
  • Audit entity submissions for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with group standards.
  • Compile and distribute monthly management reporting packages to senior management.
  • Lead the creation of Board presentations, ensuring clear and impactful financial messaging.
  • Conduct variance and bridge analyses to provide actionable performance insights.
  • Oversee CAPEX reporting, comparing actuals against budgets to identify variances.
  • Own the group close calendar and reporting cadence, continuously optimizing the close process.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls over all consolidation and reporting activities.
  • Drive the automation and standardization of reporting workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Act as the primary system owner for Tagetik, ensuring data integrity and optimal tool usage.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for group reporting inquiries across finance teams and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate reporting efforts across entities to ensure alignment with group-wide requirements.
  • Guide and challenge local finance teams to deliver high-quality, consistent financial data.
  • Provide financial expertise and support for cross-functional initiatives as needed.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects focused on reporting enhancements and process improvements.
  • Deliver ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic business initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in group consolidation and financial reporting within an international setting.
  • Deep expertise in Swiss GAAP FER standards.
  • Proven experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency structures with complex intercompany dynamics.
  • Extensive hands-on proficiency with Tagetik, including ownership of consolidation and reporting workflows.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities combined with strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated history of driving process improvements, automation, and close cycle optimization.
  • Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and a proactive ownership approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and seniority levels.
  • Fluent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

  • Exposure to IFRS standards.
  • Proficiency in German or French.
  • Prior experience in CDMO, pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industries.
