DFT Engineer CH, UK

Kandou seeks a Mid-level DFT Engineer in Saint-Sulpice, CH, to handle hierarchical MBIST, scan insertion, ATPG, and silicon debug in a remote-friendly, high-tech environment.

This position operates within a high-tech scale-up setting at Kandou, a leader in high-speed, energy-efficient chip-chip link solutions. The role focuses on driving innovation and challenging established norms in the semiconductor industry through advanced design-for-test strategies.

Responsibilities

• Execute hierarchical MBIST and scan insertion, including BSD implementation.
• Generate ATPG patterns, perform coverage analysis, and achieve high coverage metrics.
• Run pattern simulations with timing constraints to ensure accuracy.
• Define test mode timing constraints, analyze timing reports, and resolve timing issues.
• Develop cycle-accurate functional patterns using IJTAG methodology.
• Collaborate with test and production engineering teams to debug and bring up devices at probe and final test stages.
• Debug silicon issues to support product quality and reliability.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in DFT, covering implementation, test pattern development, and simulation.
• Proven track record of contributing DFT solutions to complex designs.
• Hands-on experience with IJTAG methodologies.
• Expertise in hierarchical MBIST insertion, hierarchical scan insertion, and scan compression techniques.
• Strong background in ATPG pattern generation for various fault models, including coverage analysis and convergence to high coverage targets.
• Solid debugging skills for simulating patterns with timing.
• Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools for DFT, timing, and simulation.
• Knowledge of System Verilog.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
