Firmware Engineer

Keysight Technologies seeks a Mid-level Firmware Engineer in Glattbrugg to develop device firmware, enhance FPGA frameworks, and collaborate on test solutions for global markets.

This position focuses on the development and maintenance of firmware for advanced electronic test and measurement devices. The engineer will work on implementing new features, optimizing the underlying firmware and FPGA architecture, and ensuring rigorous testing standards. The role requires close coordination with hardware and software teams to deliver robust solutions for complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate new device capabilities and support features into the firmware.
• Enhance and expand the existing firmware and FPGA framework structures.
• Conduct comprehensive testing of firmware logic and overall device functionality.
• Partner closely with hardware specialists and application software developers.
• Engage with customers and support teams to address technical needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Information Technology.
• Proven experience in embedded systems and real-time programming.
• Familiarity with RF test and measurement instruments.
• Solid grasp of hardware architecture and system design principles.
• Working knowledge of the Linux operating system and its APIs.
• Strong expertise in digital signal processing and FPGA technologies.
• Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
• At least two years of professional experience in the field.
• Fluent command of English.

• Proficiency in German is highly valued.
