Revolution Medicines seeks a Director of Global Medical Excellence to lead scientific strategy and integration for its European region, bridging global initiatives with local execution.
This position serves as a primary scientific and strategic partner to the Head of Global Medical Excellence, focusing specifically on the European market. The role is designed to unify medical excellence efforts across the portfolio by connecting scientific insight with strategic execution. By acting as a central liaison, the director ensures that regional perspectives shape global initiatives while maintaining consistency in scientific messaging and quality across all Medical Affairs activities.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted scientific advisor to the Head of Global Medical Excellence.
- Convert high-level medical strategy into concrete Medical Excellence priorities for Europe.
- Unify scientific themes, data narratives, and strategic goals across various Medical Excellence functions.
- Ensure consistency and high quality in scientific messaging across global and regional Medical Affairs.
- Serve as the main link between Global Medical Excellence and European regional or local teams.
- Manage two-way communication to guarantee regional insights influence global programs.
- Align global frameworks with the practical realities of European regional execution.
- Lead agenda setting, scientific framing, and follow-up for Medical Excellence leadership forums.
- Identify key priorities, risks, and opportunities within Medical Excellence initiatives.
- Draft scientific briefings, strategic summaries, and materials for leadership review.
- Collaborate with Medical Governance to uphold scientific rigor, compliance, and quality standards.
- Drive the evolution of Medical Excellence operational methods.
- Support digital transformation efforts within Medical Affairs.
- Select and implement technology solutions to improve efficiency and data management.
- Work closely with Global Medical Strategy, Medical Communications, Analytics, and European Regional Medical Affairs.
- Engage with Clinical Development, HEOR, Patient Advocacy, and Commercial teams.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent).
- Over 10 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Strategy, or a related global medical role.
- Strong scientific acumen with the ability to synthesize complex data.
- Experience working in global–regional Medical Affairs models.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and operate effectively in matrixed environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
