Director of Organisational Development & Talent

Kanadevia Inova seeks a Director of Organisational Development & Talent in Zürich to lead the shift from learning and development to a centre for organisation development, supporting global innovation in waste-to-energy and resource recovery.

This position serves as a strategic partner to the Executive Committee and Business Unit leaders, driving the transformation of the internal function into a dedicated centre for organisation development. The role is pivotal in aligning organisational capabilities with the company’s growth strategy, ensuring that structural changes support the broader mission of turning waste into valuable resources such as energy, heat, and hydrogen.

Responsibilities

  • Convert the corporate growth strategy into concrete organisational capabilities, defining operating models, structures, roles, and decision-making rights.
  • Define and implement the company’s change methodology, validating its effectiveness through live programmes.
  • Lead culture integration for acquisitions and provide sizing support for deals in collaboration with M&A leads.
  • Manage succession planning for critical roles and ensure measurable leadership continuity.
  • Oversee senior leadership development and assessment, including the design of assessment architectures and development centres.
  • Guide the design of the employee experience and establish the strategic direction for AI adoption across the workforce.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Business Unit heads, M&A leads, and Executive Committee sponsors.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in organisation development, change management, or transformation.
  • Several years of experience at a senior or lead level within the discipline.
  • Proven ability to work systemically across structure, process, and behaviour.
  • Experience in diagnosing organisations based on evidence.
  • Strong background in organisation design, including operating models, structures, and decision rights.
  • Hands-on experience with post-merger integration on live deals.
  • Fluency in recognised change methodologies.
  • Master’s degree in organisation development, organisational psychology, HR, or business administration.
  • Fluent English language skills.

  • German language skills.
