Nestlé seeks a Mid-level Edge AI & Connectivity Specialist in Orbe, CH, to develop rapid proof-of-concepts for deep tech innovations using AI, vision systems, and edge computing.
This position focuses on accelerating deep technology and connectivity advancements by converting business and technical opportunities into fast, end-to-end proof-of-concepts. The specialist will work closely with electronics, firmware, data, and business teams to design connected solutions.
Responsibilities
- Speed up the creation of proof-of-concepts by applying vision systems, RFID, machine learning, and AI techniques.
- Convert consumer, business, and technical requirements into testable prototypes, validation plans, and actionable recommendations.
- Develop reusable software components, data assets, and demonstrator models.
- Connect prototypes with cameras, sensors, edge devices, embedded platforms, cloud services, and user applications.
- Manage short development cycles with defined scopes, success metrics, risk assessments, and evidence-based outcomes.
Requirements
- Solid academic foundation and practical experience in vision systems, machine learning, connected devices, sensors, and edge computing.
- Proficient programming abilities in C, C++, Python, Kotlin, or comparable languages.
- Capability to perform data collection, lab experimentation, model evaluation, and variability analysis.
- Fluent proficiency in English for communication.
