Electrical Engineer

Harmattan AI, a next-generation defense company based in Lausanne, is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer for onsite work. The role involves designing electronic boards and embedded systems for UAVs, including Flight Controllers and Electronic Speed Controllers, with a focus on complex system integration and signal integrity.

This role focuses on designing and developing electronic boards and embedded systems (SoM) for unmanned aerial vehicles, including Flight Controllers, Companion Computers, and Electronic Speed Controllers, to support Harmattan AI’s mission of building autonomous defense systems.

Responsibilities

• Define system architecture and design the physical and electrical integration of complex systems using processors, fast memory (DDR, Flash), and peripherals.
• Create electronic schematics and manage board layout and routing to meet design specs, including handling high-speed signal constraints.
• Coordinate with the Mechanical team to ensure boards integrate smoothly into the final product.
• Collaborate with the GNC team to ensure precise and effective integration of sensors.
• Address EMC issues and maintain signal integrity throughout the design process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and electronic board issues efficiently.
• Perform testing, integration, and validation to ensure boards meet operational and design requirements.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in designing complex electronic systems.
• Deep understanding of processors, memory (DDR, Flash), and electronic CAD tools such as Altium.
• Proficiency in using electronic test equipment.
• Ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members at all levels.
