The company seeks an EMSRT Engineer in Muttenz to lead electrical and instrumentation projects, set technical standards, and provide engineering guidance for capital investments.
This position serves as the technical authority for Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Rotating, and Tubing (EMSRT) disciplines within the local engineering team. The role focuses on defining standards, providing design guidance, and ensuring the successful execution of capital projects while maintaining operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Define and enforce standards for electrical systems, pneumatic instrumentation, and sensors.
- Provide technical direction and design support for local engineering teams and capital expenditure projects.
- Identify and implement engineering standards to ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and functional requirements.
- Execute smaller capital and operational expenditure projects on-site.
- Serve as the primary technical expert for EMSRT installations.
- Assess the condition of existing equipment and infrastructure.
- Develop scope and cost requirements for electrical installations within capital projects.
- Oversee and approve installation releases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and system malfunctions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
- Proficiency with DeltaV and Siemens control systems.
- Proven track record of managing small-scale projects.
- Multiple years of experience in industrial settings.
- Strong grasp of maintenance principles and change management processes.
- Familiarity with operational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and compliance for capital investments.
- Meticulous work approach paired with proactive decision-making.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.
- Fluency in German and conversational proficiency in English.
- Comfort working within a chemical production environment.
Nice to have
- Prior project management experience in agrochemical, pharmaceutical, chemical, or process industries.
- Experience coordinating external resources.
- Knowledge of COMOS software.
